At Mouraria, near Albufeira, Quinta do Moinho is in a quiet lane with a neighbouring villa visible in the distance. Originally an old windmill, the owners put much thought into the conversion to ensure that the end result was as authentic as possible. The interior is equally appealing with furniture carefully chosen to complement the stone walls.
Accomodation consists of two double bedrooms (one with integral screened bathroom en-suite), two twin bedrooms (one with bathroom en-suite), a further bathroom and one shower room. The well equipped kitchen does not look out of place and a hayloft, with sloping ceiling, has been converted into a bedroom over the breakfast area.
There is also a Mezzanine with single bed & small double sofa bed (not suitable for young children). In addition there is a cloakroom, a 2nd double sofa bed. The attractive living room has a pool table, the dining room has french doors leading out to extensive terraced areas. There is also a roof terrace and a small interior garden.
Outside, the large garden has a variety of trees and plants. Trailing bougainvillea grows in abundance on the terraces and there are wide lawns with an old windmill, after which the property was named. The pool (16 x 8m) is huge and most attractive.
